A poor, lonely soul lost in the plains of depression.
Softly looked for a way to break the silence that had taken hold of him,
A way to feel alive again.
As if it was fate, she appeared in his darkest hour,
Right as the blade came to his throat,
He was so stunned by the sight of her beauty,
He let the blade fall to the ground.
She was shining so brightly,
It was as if she was his northern star,
Slowly guiding him into the warmth of her radiating light.
Upon him she bestowed a simple gift,
A gift that took his strength and magnified it one thousand times.

As she gazed upon him with but a simple smile,
The silence that had enshrouded his soul for so long was broken.
With a simple gift, a life was spared.
With a simple gift, a life was given new meaning, a new reason to live.
This gift was but a simple smile.
A smile,
Something that he could never imagine.
As she gazed upon him,
A smile emerged on his face.
A simple gift, a simple smile,
Gave two people all the reason they needed,
To be together forever.
