Chapter 5 (In Silence)

"Here put these on", Tara said pulling out two cloaks of a similar earthen brown color to her own. "Stay close don't wander off and most importantly keep your heads down. If one of you falls behind and even if I fall behind you don't come back is that clear you don't stop moving!"  Both Estelle and Baden agreed without question. Cloaked and hooded they made their way through the creatures back to the dock. Made their way carefully to the teleporter paid a small rush fee to get to the crones gate.
"Ok" said Baden as soon as they where there pulling off his hood "what was that all about."
"God dammed keep your hood on just because we are in a different doesn't mean we are any safer." Said Tara Baden neglecting pulled up his hood"You two probably should know now that we are not the only ones who know what's going on out there." She said "turning away from their accusing gaze. "They know and they will try any methods at all to tell where we are and where we are going."
"The only reason I was here is to make money easy but now there are people after us. This is not going to be profitable if we are dead I want out and now. "Replied Baden"It isn't your choice anymore! They know you're with me ok they all know who you are what you look like your hair color even your god damn fears and dislikes they know more about you then you know about yourself! The same goes for you Estelle." She said passing a glance to him. "Now listen closely these people are good they will find you but fighting with them is more than futile. You have no choice but to stick with me the three of us together might have a chance. We aren't coming back for you but we will fight until you are gone."
"How do you know so much about these people" Estelle finally added in.
She bit down hard on her lip. "I um...they are my legion. They know they knew before you knew...I had to tell them. It's my job I work as a scout I find funds and enemies that's the disadvantage of being able to fly. They will exploit it."
"Well than why are they now after you?"
"Have you ever heard the term absolute power corrupts absolutely?" They both shook their heads. "There is enough money there that they would be able to buy every castle every shop and Cronus. They could charge what every they want when every they want. There would no longer be individual legions only one huge mass of people. All believe in the same thing. It might take time but it will happen but" she trailed off. "It will happen now let's go."
They ran out into the fields got to the end closely enough and moved to the edge of the forest and went to bed under their cloaks on the ground Estelle stayed awake. Estelle looked up at the stars it was night one of travel the day was short as they had left in the middle of it he heard a sound and got up. He listened carefully for the long labored steps.
