Chapter 9: More revelations
(Jay's past part III)

'Jay...your grandpa did many stupid things while he lived. But his most stupid thing ever done was to adventure in the Dark Forest. He was looking for a rare egg, my dear. But before I tell you the rest of the story...how can I trust you? Many other people are very interested in finding out what happened with him. But I am the only one who knows the real story of his end. There are some rumors, but none of them are fully true' said Master Duo Chan.

'That's for sure. Well...you will be surprised to find out that one year ago my parents died while demons were attacking our small village. They killed them without any regrets, and then they simply left.'
-Jay started to cry-

'I see. I heard about them and I am really sorry. Well, I guess it's the time to tell somebody what happened in that day, when my brother adventured in the Dark Forest with his friend, Lan. Lan was his most faithful friend at that time... Anyway, they went in that mysterious place seeking for a rare pet. A pet that he thought will give him incredible abilities and powers. They searched for it for days in the Dark Forest but they were unable to find it, until in their last day, when they decided to leave if they won't find it until they did it...Excuse me!" Duo Chan started crying as well...

'They did what? Please I have to know? What did they do? What did they do, tell me!?'

'Son, don't yell at me. I am very old. I cannot bare such shocks.' Said the old man.
'Pardon me, sir. I got too excited and wanted to find out what happened next. Can you go on with the story now?' asked Jay.

'I guess so. Well then they started to look for that egg again, in the forest when they realized they were in the same place as they were few days before. But just when they thought their hopes were wasted, they saw something in the bushes. Something that they hadn't seen before.' Duo Chan made a long break before continuing the story.

'Well, what happened next? What was that thing in the bushes?' asked Jay again. He was excited and nervous at the same time. He was so curious to find out what would happen next.

'They touched it. A small and shining thing which they considered was what they were looking for. But right in the next moment when they touched it, a black smoke came from the inside, and then they died immediately. That's how now, evil forces are dominating the world. And it's only Jas and Lan's fault... if they would not adventure in the Dark Forest, your parents, and many other people would still be alive.'

Jay Chou was shocked. His Grandpa was guilty for his parent's death. That's what people were talking about...
He was standing there and thinking...After he travelled for such a long time, he finally found out the truth...
