Chapter 13: Henna's secret

'Come on, Henna! You have to know what happened with our grandfather and why people say he is guilty for something. But I don't know what they are talking about!' said Jay

'I am sorry Jay. I do not know anything' lied Henna.

Remember this phrase? But what has Henna to hide from her dear brother?

When she discovered how brave he was and how determined he was to revenge his parents, she got upset because she didn't tell him the truth when he asked her if she knew something about their grandpa. So she decided to tell him now the truth...

She went to Jay who was training in a lonely place outside of LouYang. She knew he wasn't going to give up on leaving someone else to go in KunLun and also that he would have to leave soon the place where they spent such a long time playing together, but also suffering together. She missed him so much in this long time while he was in ChangAn with their grandpa's brother.

She got closer to Jay. Silently, she said:

'Hi Jay. How are you?'

'I am fine, Henna. But why are you here? It's very late and in the night it's very cold. My, what am I speaking about? We spent a long time hiding around those hills while we were playing when we were just kids. I miss those old good days, when we hadn't so many goals to achieve and someone else had to worry about us. Don't you think it was great to do whatever we wanted to...until that day when demons came for the very first time in this place...then we had to question every move we were making...' said Jay lowering his voice.

'That's true Jay. But it already happened, right? We can't change the past, can we?  The past cannot be changed now anymore... but our future can be changed for sure. I have the faith that you will contribute on defeating the Evil Lord and that you will give your best there, in the battle as well, Jay. But before you leave LouYang, Jay, I have to tell you something. Do you remember when you asked me if I know something about our grandpa, or why are people calling him guilty for something...? Well, at that time I lied to you... I told you I don't know anything about it...but I was lying... 'said Henna.

Jay wasn't shocked of his sister declaration. But he was asking himself why did she choose this moment to tell him this thing.

'I already knew that Henna. I knew it from the very first time you weren't telling me the truth. I was feeling it; I was feeling it in your voice, in your behavior. You weren't calm when we were speaking about it, so I doubt there was something you hide from me. Later, when I went in that journey to ChangAn I found out that you knew DouChan was still alive. He told me that...' Jay was very calm. He was looking into Henna's eyes now. They were watching each other's moves.

Was Henna going to tell him why did she act so at that time? They looked for a few moments at each other then Henna started to cry. She was now on her knees, crying and imploring Jay to apologize her for that. She said she didn't want to do it, but she thought she had to.

'I did it to protect you Jay! I did it to protect you! Please accept my sincerely apologizes' Henna implored Jay.

Her brother looked at her nicely. He wasn't nervous neither sad that Henna lied to him. He seemed to understand her. Then she helped her get back on her own feet.
