Chapter 10: Jay's Dream and Duo's fight
(Jay's past part IV)

After he heard about what happened with his grandpa, and he found out that his own grandfather was guilty for many massacres all over the world, all that Jay could do was to wait and think... He was standing there, in the middle of the town hall...
After a few minutes he exclaimed loudly:

'Well, I made up my mind! I am going to find out what that egg truly was and to revenge my parents!' but in his mind, Jay was thinking "...and maybe someday, I will have the honor to be the leader of this village' This was Jay's real dream! He wa s dreaming that one day he will be such a good leader of ChangAn like his grandpa was. Besides this, he has to change his family reputation...

'That's a nice decision, my young friend. But don't act as my brother did. Be very attentive in what you are doing. You don't want to die, don't you? If so, be very strategic in what you are doing. Don't hurry and be careful who you trust in...Besides, you can stay here with me and train here if you want. I am so alone here since my wife...' he made a break when saying this '...died'.

'Died? Was she killed or simply died?' asked Jay when he saw how sad Duo Chan was.

'Oh, young man! Three years ago, exactly in the day when I was celebrating thirty years from when I was promoted as the leader of ChangAn...well, they attacked. The demons attacked our village. This was their first time when they came here, in our city.' Said Duo Chan.

He was very stressed and he was speaking about those things being sad. He was saying them as he would not like to remember about them...Which is understandable, who would be happy to speak about someone which he loved and died.

'I reunited few dozens of mages and warriors to fight against them. Many people wanted to join...One of those people was her. At that time I was more powerful than I am now... and so was she... I totally disagreed to accept her in our army... We fought for hours with the demons, many of us died... and one of them was she. Maya Chan, my love... she didn't listen to me...she wanted to defend our city...It's true, she killed a few demons, but she got killed in a moment when she wasn't paying attention to her back.'
Now Duo Chan was really crying and he could hardly speak by now. He was very sad.

'I am very sorry for you, sir. I guess you suffered a long time after she died. As well as I did for my parents. They died defending me and my sister, Henna. Our village was attacked also one year ago. They fought with courage and honor to defend us...' exclaimed Jay.
After few moments, Jay asked with serenity:
'I have to ask you something master. Something that I was wondering...You said that my grandpa and his friend went alone in the Dark Forest to find that rare egg...But then...how did you find about what happened to them?'
