Chapter 3: Identity revealed

Not sure what I was currently thinking, I kicked over one of the guards, pushed  another into a peddler and punched the helmet off of another. More guards whipped around the corner spear at hand, I grabbed the woman elves arm and told her to run. I saw her lift her arm and punch me square in between the eyes. I fell to the ground unconscious. I woke to a dark room, with the sound of dripping from the ceiling, a single torch gave a small flicker of light, and in the corner was a guard. I yelled to him:

- What has happened and what did you do with the elf?!

He stayed quiet in the corner, he didn't even look over.

The door swung open and in marched 8 guards, forming a line. The center of the line folded in and a short skinny man with a parchment in his hand walked towards me. Stopping roughly 10 feet away he unrolled the parchment and said in a loud voice:

- Under reglement 127 aiding an elf in conspiracy and reglement 76 assaulting official members of the royal guard I sentence you to 4 months of prison, detained in this criminal facility under strict 24 hour watch.

So I replied:

-Where is the elf, is she harmed?

- The queen has a different look upon the elves and she treats them as equals. The one in the market was of royal family. But the search for hidden elves continue, they shall be detained for life.

I thought to myself... so they haven't figured out I'm an elf, I might make it out of this yet.


The row of guards left along with the short man in the red robe, the door screeching and making a loud thud as it shut.

I now turned my attention to the guard and simply said "hello" but once again he did not respond and did not budge.
