[EO]Arc#DY#s Children-Chapter 1

Muttering about the manners of some people these days, Armenthos climbed the few steps to the front entrance and proceeded inside. Looking unimpressed at the somewhat neat interior of the Palace, he marched towards the Grand Chamber, guessing that he'd be guided as to who wanted to see him. However, halfway up the corridor, he found himself waylaid by a random servant whom Armenthos decided to subconsciously name Felix, since they all tended to be called those these days.

"I take it that you are Armenthos, is that correct, Sir?", piped the young servant. He paused mid-stride and turned fixing his eyes on the servant, who visible seemed to shudder at the look. Sometimes is good to know that your still capable of looking powerful despite the lack of colourful gear.

"In that respect you are correct and I'm also going to hazard a guess that you're my guide to whoever it was that summoned me?"  He paused for a moment, his eyes still fixed on Felix.

"Umm...yes...I mean, Yes I will be escorting you to the Reception Chamber."  He said before taking a step back and jesting with his hand the direction he should be going.

He hadn't expected that Armenthos would turn around, only to proceed to walk in the opposite direction, disappearing around a corner, vanishing from sight when Felix looked around. Now somewhat confused and panicking, Felix proceeded to run all the way to the Reception Chamber to report what had happen. Turning the last corner he collided with a person only, to find that Armenthos was standing outside the room waiting patiently for the servant to catch up and allowed him just a bit longer to catch his breath back.

"I thought it would be best if I waited for you, since you are going to introduce me. I usually have the problem that someone will get confused over who I am.  Oh, and a word of warning, I don't need a guide inside the palace, I pretty much lived in the library when I was younger. Now, if you'll be so kind", he gestured towards the door that Felix hurriedly went to open and let him in.
